Boyle County Indoor Percussion and Winter-Guard
Starting in December of 2019 the Boyle County Percussion and Guard will embark on a new journey of building the winter programs in prep for building a stronger outdoor performing ensemble for the summer and fall of 2020. Boyle County is under the Direction of Zach Shelton and Assistant Director Joshua Williams. The Boyle County band program is moving in a new direction to continue the rich tradition of the program by adding new staff for the 2019-2020 year to meet our goals.
The Percussion and Guard will prepare for the Indoor Performing season in December in which basic training will begin for all students involved. They will prepare their 2019-2020 shows over the course of three months, which will involve multiple Saturday camps to complete the programs. Indoor Percussion and Winter-Guard is an excellent opportunity for students to get individual focus on their direct area of learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to get more students involved, and to allow the program to grow at a faster rate.
The addition of both the Winter Percussion and Guard will come with a lot of needs for both programs. Both units are looking to raise a total of $15,000 dollars to help fund shows, tarps, uniforms, travel, equipment, circuit fees and staff to allow the students to have the most success possible. We will compete in Tri-State Marching Arts circuit, and our students will compete with groups from Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to get feedback from highly trained and experienced judges, as well as the Directors and Staff the opportunity to sit one on one with these educators to learn more about what they can do to achieve success for the students and the program.
We are seeking sponsorship to allow us to reach our goals for a successful training and competitive winter season. We would greatly appreciate any support that you show to both our Indoor Percussion and Winter-Guard.
